IMAX and AMC are expanding 3d theaters

Hollywood is quickly preparing to produce 3d movies, and Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson are also making 3d films. Spielberg and Hanks close Melbourne intersection to film new war series

To film some scenes from the sequel of “Band of Brothers” which is called “Pacific” The Melbourne intersection had to be closed  for the weekend as some 700 extras and 15 film trucks were involved in the  filming. “Jurassic Park IV”

“Jurassic Park IV” is not yet in the casting process but reps at Amblin Entertainment say that the film is still in the planning and screenplay process of development so it looks like the film is going to be made but we just will have to wait a while before it reaches movie theatres .More information here.

Steven Spielburg and Tom Hanks scout locations for “The Pacific”

Tom Hanks and Steven Spielburg are making a film about war in the Pacific theatre. The movie is a follow up to the “Band of Brothers” 10 part mini series on HBO.The filmakers were at the Marion Military Institute looking at some of the older buildings at the institute.The buildings will  then be recreated on a set in Australia where tha filming is taking place.For more details please click here.

Spielberg Could Leave Paramount

The bad feelings between Spielberg and Paramount could result in Spielberg leaving Paramount and taking the Dreamworks name with him .This could not happen untill next year but it would be a large blow to Paramount.To read the details please click here.

Filming Harrison Ford Indiana Jones Movie a “Monster Project”

Steven Spielberg and a crew of about 400 are filming the as yet unnamed fourth Indiana Jones movie in privately owned jungle at Hamaka Coast, in Big Island Hawaii.At 65 Harrison Ford still does some of his own jumps and falls but there is a crew of about 35 stunt workers.To read alot more about this please click here.

Monday July 9 at 8pm on TCM there will be a 90 minute show with Steven Spielberg giving a chronological recap of his own film catalogue.The show will run without commercials.
